Become a Spiritual Guide Through Meditation
The Meditation Teacher Training Course is a transformational journey for sincere spiritual seekers who wish to not only deepen their own practice, but also become powerful and authentic teachers of meditation.
This course offers a rare opportunity to explore the true science of meditation—one that transcends trends and modern interpretations. Rooted in the ancient lineages of Tantra, Raja Yoga, and classical yogic philosophy, the teachings you will receive are profound, time-tested, and designed to awaken the immense potential of the human mind.
Through a combination of structured theory, deep practice, and guided teaching, you will begin to master advanced meditation techniques and subtle mental technologies. These methods were passed down through sacred oral traditions and are rarely taught in such a clear and systematic way today.
Duration:
4-week in-person retreat
Total hours:
260 course hours
Suitability:
Anyone who’s passionate about exploring the mysteries of the mind
Created by the school’s founder, Somananda, this training will take you on an inward expedition to understand the true structure and function of the mind, helping you to dissolve limitations, access higher consciousness, and unlock the mind’s latent powers.
By the end of this course, you won’t just understand meditation—you will embody it. You will be equipped with the spiritual authority, clarity, and skill to guide others on their own journeys into the vast, mystical realms of the inner self.
Our transformative Meditation TTC consists of three essential parts, each one representing a fundamental aspect of a skilled and qualified meditation teacher.
All parts will be taught simultaneously; however, the first weeks will be dedicated predominantly to Parts 1 and 2 of the curriculum.
Practicum sessions are held on weeks 3 and 4 where all participants will give lectures and lead practical meditation sessions for their peers and supervising teachers. Each practicum is followed by feedback on your performance and areas for improvement.
The Meditation TTC will open with the 10-day silent Trika Meditation Retreat and will conclude with a final exam, graduation ceremony, and empowerment meditation.
After graduating from this Meditation TTC, you will be certified to teach meditation classes up to 2 hours in duration and lead meditation retreats or workshops of up to 7 days in duration.
Nine (9) powerful meditation techniques from Tantra, Raja Yoga and other traditions with the ability to give lectures on each:
Additionally, you will be able to give five (5) longer lectures on the foundations of meditation and lead Sun Salutations practice for purification and energy balancing.
Becoming a meditation teacher will impact your entire life, with the potential to transform you personally, professionally, and spiritually. Not only will you gain the skills to lead meditation courses that create significant spiritual advancement in your students, you will also be supported by the empowerment of a master and a spiritual lineage.
In case the conditions of force majeure render it impossible to offer the Meditation Teacher Training Course as an in-person physical course at the scheduled time (e.g. due to pandemic related travel restrictions, war, or other unforeseeable world events), we will make effort to reschedule and offer it at a later time.
Depending on the exact situation, we may also consider changing the course format and offer it either partially or fully as an online course over a duration of multiple months. In case of force majeure no refunds of your paid fees are offered.
This retreat takes place in Rishikesh, India, at the venue called the Rishikesh Valley. This is a family owned retreat center at the foot of the Himalaya mountains merged together with incredibly lush nature and undisturbed tranquility where you can study and truly transform.
The venue has two locations about 400 meters apart, which both will be at our disposal. First of them consists of 12 natural wooden cottages with a bathroom; a yoga hall; kitchen and dining area; and a mountain stream with a natural pool. Although furnished simply, cottages are elegant and come with a en suite bathroom.
The other location is a newly built hotel-style 4-story house with 12 apartments, each encompassing two bedrooms and a shared bathroom; two yoga areas are on top of the roof with stunning mountain views.
You will be placed in shared accommodation with 2 to 3 people per bedroom or cottage. Higher level rooms will be allocated to earlier registrants.
We are serving 3 vegetarian meals a day and filtered drinking water is available on site throughout the day.

Yes. In this Meditation TTC you will witness substantial personal growth and learn necessary skills to teach authentic meditation to others. Your own meditation skill will, of course, continue to improve over time as you continue with your personal practice.
Self-realization is an achievable phenomenon granted by the law of Grace and Karma. It normally takes several years of diligent and dedicated practice and cannot be attained overnight.
If self-realization is your goal, then this course is an excellent impetus for propelling you forward in your spiritual evolution. It also ensures that you follow an authentic path backed by science, tradition, and lineage.
Upon successful completion of the course and passing of the exam, you will be granted a Meditation Teacher’s Certificate by the Somananda Tantra School.
If you do not pass an exam, you may retake it at a later date, dependent upon the availability of our teachers. Until the successful completions of the exams, the certificate will not be issued.
There are indeed some items we recommend you bring with you. The exact list will be sent to all participants a couple of weeks prior to the beginning of the retreat.
