A Journey Into Expanded Consciousness With Sacred Herbs
Duration:
6 days
Total hours:
40 retreat hours
Suitability:
Open to sincere seekers; no prior experience with sacred herbs or meditation required
Imagine sitting in stillness and feeling your mind drop into a depth of meditation you did not know was possible. Not through effort or struggle, but through grace — carried by sacred Ayurvedic herbs that have supported those on this path for thousands of years.
This is the heart of the Soma Rasayana Retreat!
Over five days, you will drink specific blends of sacred herbs that have been chosen by Somananda for their unique spiritual properties in supporting deep meditations.
Each day brings a profound meditation, additionally guided and supported by special mantra initiations from Somananda and infused with the divine grace of the supreme Shiva consciousness. This will give an opening to unprecedented acceleration of your spiritual evolution.
What unfolds is genuine tantric meditation and deep self-exploration that is made more profound and real by the subtle power of these ancient, sacred herbs.
In Ayurveda, the sacred plants you will be ingesting are known as somas — herbs revered for their power to elevate consciousness and restore the being at its deepest levels.
Mixed together these plants form what is called a rasayana: a classical Ayurvedic path of profound rejuvenation and inner refinement.
To add to their power, all somas and rasayanas are profoundly sattvic, which means they are pure, refining, and genuinely uplifting. Where other substances often stir the mind indiscriminately, these sacred herbs work in harmony with your highest nature and lift you gently toward the higher chakras, the third eye and the crown, with clarity rather than force.
Every herb used in this retreat is chosen through close collaboration between an Ayurvedic doctor with over 30 years of experience and Somananda’s own deep spiritual insight.
Many modern spiritual journeys promise intensity. Few offer true elevation and a real piercing of the veils of illusion. This is where this retreat stands apart.
It begins with the herbs themselves, each one purposefully chosen for its unique effects. But the somas and rasayanas are only part of what makes this experience rare. Somananda activates their rasayana power directly, through special mantras and a powerful meditation energy field, while the herbs support, rather than replace, your own practice.
Guided by experienced tantric yogis within an authentic tradition, your practice deepens in ways difficult to reach alone. The mind grows quieter and more luminous, the inner senses open, and each day builds toward a powerful, culminating experience.
You won’t simply hear about higher consciousness. You will begin to embody it.
This retreat welcomes everyone, beginners and experienced seekers alike, offering a supportive space to grow, heal, and connect with your inner self.
This is a genuine spiritual retreat calling for openness, honesty, and emotional maturity, what you receive depends on your willingness to surrender to the process. Those carrying instability that could affect their own wellbeing or the group’s may not be suited to this retreat.
The sacred herbs used here serve one purpose: deep healing and the awakening of higher consciousness, not the chasing of sensation. Real transformation can’t be guaranteed, it depends on your commitment, karma, and other individual factors.
Be aware that a genuine jump in consciousness can challenge the ego and feel unsettling, even frightening, at times. You’ll be supported by our experienced teachers throughout, but this shift shouldn’t be underestimated.

A small number of carefully selected, sacred Ayurvedic herbs, prepared as traditional decoctions. These herbs are deeply sattvic and are used specifically for healing, rejuvenation, and the elevation of consciousness. The specific preparations are held within the tradition and guided personally by your teacher.
No. This is a distinct path. These sacred Ayurvedic herbs are oriented toward genuine spiritual elevation, healing, and rejuvenation — rather than the more intense or unpredictable effects associated with some other traditions. We explore this distinction with care and respect during the retreat.
Yes, and the primary reason lies in the nature of the herbs themselves. Because they are profoundly sattvic, they work in harmony with your constitution rather than overriding it. There are no random or chaotic effects, only a clear, refined elevation that unfolds naturally within you. The retreat’s tranquil residential setting and attentive, experienced team provide an additional layer of care that allows you to relax fully and receive the process’s deeper gifts.
Yes. Personal experience analysis and sharing with Somananda are a core part of each day. You will receive individual attention to help you understand and integrate what arises during your journey.
The length is deliberate and measured. Five days allows the process to unfold safely, gently, and appropriately for each participant, honoring both readiness and the sacredness of the path.
